Default DD What Clutch

I have an 01 z28 with a 6.0L. I have been running a Ram Power Grip HD for about a year now and it has started slipping just driving down the road. I am looking for recommendations on a clutch that will give me some good performance aspects and still remain a dependable DD status.

In my old combination, 435/405 I ran the ls7 for a year and it worked well. I didn't do alot of passes and never with a sticky tire.

I would recommend either a Monster Level 2 or a Level 3. All our kits include a new flywheel, disc, pressure plate, pilot bearing, release bearing and alignment tool. If you are still on the original slave cylinder I would get a new one as well, and that is included in our premium kit. Give me a call and I can get one coming your way!

You need the LS2 flywheel. The whole kit should be in the $48X area shipped to your door from WS6store.

Hit up Jason at TDP. I'd go with the Stage 2, it is a Dual Friction disc, which is ceramic/metallic on one side and full-faced copper-woven carbon kevlar on the other side. The setup offers stock driveability, yet is rated at 600hp so it will handle plenty of abuse. The main difference between this clutch and other competitors is that is a full 12in setup, carries a 12mo/12k warranty, & comes complete with a 15lb billet 4140 Chromoly Flywheel. This metal is superior to most other billet flywheels on the market. It is specifically designed to resist heat, which prevents warpage, and extends the life of the disc.
I think he has a special right now where he throws in a free remote bleeder. Check it out, I have his stage 3 and it is saweet!

Here is his info, he is a sponsor here.

I too would recommend our Level 2 unit. 100% Kevlar and will not chatter, period. Nice and smooth like stock and will take abuse that the LS7 just can't.

If you're having issues with your Monster give us a call and we'll get you taken care of. It sounds like you've got a glaze built up on the disc which is causing your noise. Our clutches are not designed to be incredibly stiff, they are designed to be something that anyone can drive and to hold the power they are rated at. Our shop number is 817-750-2000, give us a call and we'll get you taken care of.

I'd go with a Diamond stage 1 or Stage 2. Check the website in my sig. If you already have a decent flywheel, you can just get it resurfaced, and buy the basic kit. The Stage 1 is $369 and Stage 2 is $409.

Here's a current link with a lot of people using this clutch..
