Monster or Diamond
Monster or diamond stage three clutch package. I like a stiff pedal. Which one should I get? Why? What should I get with it? I also was planning on getting the tick level 2 kit with a few extra things. Is there a better place to buy parts from?
Thanks!!
Thanks!!

One thing that I can say about the Diamond that no other clutch company can is that you won't find a single negative post about this clutch. Just do some searching here and you'll find nothing but positive feedback. The posts/feedback here on the forum(s) speak for the product(s). Both clutches are great and will get the job done, of course. However, I feel that the Diamond is the best choice & I'll explain exactly why. I'm not just saying that because I am the founder of Diamond, but this is based on years and years of R&D, trial & error, and experience. It's really a long story, but in a nutshell.....I've also studied metallurgy and thoroughly tested various types of alloys for the flywheel. This is very critical, as the clutch life can be drastically affected if the improper material is used. Check out the website ( www.diamondclutch.com ) and you'll find a lot of technical data there. We only offer 3 different levels of clutch packages, as they have proven to be the best choices. I could have 6, 10 or 12 different "stages" but I choose not to, as I only use the most proven and highest quality componets in my clutch packages. We've been around since 2006, but didn't really promote the product until about 1.5 years ago. Includes a one year (12 months, 24k mile warranty). Monster did a better job at advertising obviously, but we here at Diamond have been selling more clutches than ever this year so far. Hope to do business with you! Thanks!

I will say that I had a few issues with Monsters stage 3, when they had the solid clutch disc for chatter free. They took care of 2 out of 3 that I had in the car, after looking at the 3rd I put it in the trash and ordered something else, just didnt want to deal with it anymore.
They did have good customer service and never had a problem taking care of the problems I had.

Thank you all for your input! I ended up buying a diamond stage 2 kit from Jason. Great guy to deal and he is very knowledgable. I can't wait to install the new package with the level two tick upgrade. I'm sorry to hear about the problems with the monster kit hopfully everything going good now.

Monster stage 3 with a Tick master and new OEM slave. My pedal feels like a man pedal for sure. I have had a monster 3.5 in my 05 GTO for 1 year with Tick master, and Now I have a Monster in my 02 Z06 with Tick master. I would be running a Monster in my brothers LS2 69 Camaro but got a good deal on a 2nd hand Mcloed twin. It has a Tick master installed in it as well.

Yes, 3.5 forgot that part
First one I ended up with the miss machined setup
Replacement one had a vibration
Last one wore out one section on the disc unevenly. I had pulled the trans for a rebuild (after grinding trying to powershift the first clutch) and decided at that point to give up and ditch it. Went with the McLeod RXT, rebuild by non local vendor wasnt as advertised, got fed up and put an automatic in the car.
Now I am bored with the automatic go figure.

mine had abnormal wear on it when I pulled it out of my GTO, held great. I really couldnt tell if it had a vibration due to huge cam i was running, and I put a 1 piece drive shaft in it.
I went with the stage 3 this time, so far I like it. Only have 5 miles on it though, lol
