Default is anyone running a monster clutch setup? I'd love your input!

I just had an ms3 cam, u.d. pulley and dyno tune done on my car, and Vengeance racing couldn't finish the tune because the stock clutch began slipping at 5k rpm's... so it's time for a new clutch! and I really like the price of the Monsters, especially with it coming with a new flywheel.

My car after its done being tuned should be a hair over 400rwhp, and I'm planning on going with either the stage 2 or stage 3 clutch, because I'd like to add heads maybe a few months from now. Should the stage 2 clutch hold up with 450-500rwhp? or would it be better to go with a stage 3?

and how is driveability for you guys running one of the monster clutches? and longevity??

Buy one! It actually performs as advertised. My Level 6 drives as good as my SPEC Stage 3 did. I drive it everyday if it doesn't rain and its totally streetable even as a DD. Dyno'd 810rwhp/880rwtq and it never slipped or even had a hint of burnt clutch. It didn't even cross my mind until after the dyno session actually making many back to back pulls. Nice to not have to worry about it.

I bought the Level 6, the chatter version (they offer a non-chatter version) that still doesnt chatter that bad, lightweight flywheel, Tick Master, New GM Slave, quick bleeder. Got it on sale during a holiday sale. No regrets yet. Do it!

awesome I intend to! Im mainly torn on whether to go with a stage 2 or 3 now. What kind of slave cylinder comes in the premium package Monster sells? is it a new GM unit?

I have the level 3 with the Tick Master and Lightweight FW and love it. It def grabs and holds anything my 370 throws at it. Mine chattered some during break-in but adjustments in driving style stopped most of it. Now since broken in, it drives great.

Monster 3 here and will get a stronger one when the time comes. Very suprised how streetable a puck cltch can be. Grips like a mother too.

I'm also in the stage 3 Love Shack. I have about 2K on mine, and it drives like a dream. I LOVE the way it drives. No noise whatsoever.

Another +1 for the stg 3 from me. ~25K miles on my setup, so I'll attest to the longevity lol. I was hesitant like you to go with the stage 3, and from a past experience with puck clutches heavily debated it, but really liked the idea of not having to worry about replacing the clutch if I decided to go wild with a beefy heads and cam package. Since the install I haven't looked back . The level 3 is very streetable, its a little heavy and takes some getting use to... I'll admit now that my car sits in the garage more than its driven when I do get it out if I happen to catch a few redlights back to back my calves get a touch sore, but I can attribute that just as much to a desk job now compared to stocking groceries lol. I would imagine the stage two feels comparable in pressure weight though, same PP right? *shrug*

All that said, I kept my original clutch/flywheel combo as a just in case because of my prior bad experience with a puck clutch (had a pilot bearing go out so everything else was ok)... it's sitting on a shelf still collecting rust 2 years later

I shift at 7500 in my personal car and have no issues... perhaps you should stick with your Centerforce and stop crapping on my threads.

PS, I've got 27 other people that I can have email you with their results, all of them shift at 7500-8000... I'm pretty sure that even with that information you'll still choose to come in my threads and say the same thing.

I have a stage 2 on a cam and bolt on's car. It feels really good and has taken a beating. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another.
