T56 annoying bolts!
So I am changing my slave cylinder and clutch, pressure plate and flywheel. I have the trans out but going through the bolts on the bell housing I have them all out except one. It's the one on the drivers side all the way to the top. When I put a socket on it I cant fit a rachet, swivel or extension because the bottom of the body gets in the way. Putting an open end wrench on it doesnt give me enough leverage or room really to get any turns on it. Does anyone have any suggestions on how they got theirs out? I hope I'm not the only guy with the same problem.

I just dropped my 4l60. Had to basically reach my socket/extensions/ratchet over the trans body to get the right angle on the top 3 bolts. Sounds like you might need more extensions and to reach over the top of the tranny because if you are reaching up the side of the bellhousing you probably wont be able to get the right angle on the bolts.
You can jack up the front of the engine (a little bit, nothing crazy) to get the trans to "sag" some more and open up some room above the trans (I didnt have to do this to get the bolt out, but did have to in order to get a tap in my top bolt hole to clean out the threads)

I loosened all the k member bolts which dropped the engine down about an inch. Make sure you have a jack supporting the weight incase you accidently take the bolt all the way out which might cause the k member to fall. As soon as you get them all loosened up, drop the jack and you will have plenty of room.

I put a little dent there, big help
Use the super shallow serpentine belt socket, and a 3inch wobbler extension. Thats a good fitting setup for up there. Then a 6 wobbler extension, and a normal long one after that.
If you have soild motor mounts its gona be a bitch, your gona have to remove bolts to get more tilt. I hate them.

Lower the trans. Get about 2 long extensions and 1 short. Place the socket on the bolt and get inside the car. Work the wrench from inside the car using the shifter hole. Helps to have a friend hold the socket on the bolt, but this has worked on 3 trans so far

I'm pretty limited on space in my garage as it is so it's going to be kinda tough to even fit a jack underneath to get the engine up. I have extensions enough to reach to past the hole where the shifter is located. I am thinking I'm just going to give the body a couple of ball peen hits enough so i can fit my swivel on there.

Problem is i can't seem to even fit the socket on there with any type of attachment. I can fit a socket on it by itself but no types of swivels or extensions. I even borrowed a 13mm swivel joint socket from a mechanic at work and its a snap on one and we compared and his was a bit shorter actually, still nothing. I just tried.
