aftermarket shifters
I'm doing a A4 to M6 swap and I want to know what type of shifter you'd recommend for a T56. I can get a brand new stocker for $250 but aftermarket ones are cheaper. Trying to decide between B&M Ripper shifter for $200, or a Pro 5.0 for $180. Any thoughts??

I wouldn't buy a B and M I had one and its to tall and every other short throw I've used has had a shorter throw. I've never used a Pro. 5.0 my self but I hear good things. I think they look cool with a Lou's short stick. If not a Pro 5.0 I'd go MGW which is what I have. Very short throws but since they're so short it doesn't really feel like your banging cogs anymore lol its in before you can get a good wham on it. Its a very good shifter IMO.

hands down MGW I had the best hurst shifter made for our cars and it might as well of been stock compared to the MGW.
the MGW is VERY short CRISP and clean shifts, it has the hardest spring of all of them to help prevent the dreaded 3rd to 2nd downshift. infact it was so tight compared to the billet plus that i had trouble with the shifting for the first week

If you have ever shifted an MGW, you won't use anything else. Fell in love with it on my Cobra. I replaced a Pro 5.0 with the MGW and never looked back. Pro 5.0 is very very good. The MGW is that much better.
