Default Looking To Faceplate My pig...... but I have some?????'SSSSS

Looking to face plate the T56 thats in my ride now. I dont want a full built viper out put shaft and all the bells and wistles trans. Mine is stock with put grade forks and blocks and other junk thats all going bye bye due to the fact its getting faceplated.

I am just looking to keep the trans as basic as i can. no reason to put huge money into a trans that gets rapped a lot. so what i am looking for is who can do this kind of build. ????? i dont really want to upgrade anything due to the fact the car has had a stock trans in if since i owned it and its been holding 7k hits off the line no problem. due to knowing how to drive and not kill the drive line off the line.

I want the most basic T56 flaceplating i can get. and pm me a price to do so... I Have a good fully working Core.

That's exactly how mine is. I would send it to either RPM, Tick, or straight to Liberty's Gears. The first 2 mentioned might have the faceplated gearsets in stock which would cut the downtime a bunch. Took me almost 2 months dealing with Liberty, although they're the only one's I know of that actually do the modifying of the gears and sliders.

Mine's holding up pretty well. Only problem I have is when I'm cruising around it jumps out of 4th gear if I don't put some pressure on the shifter. Under power it stays in just fine. It cost just over a grand for everything. That's having it faceplated, shipping both ways, and the labor to take it apart and put it back together. That was also 2 winters ago, so the price might've went up since.

I was talkin on the phone with my head all sideways while I was out practiceing some runs and messed the shift up. It broke the fp on the gear, not the gear.

I have a lingenfelter shift cut to go on the car as soon as I get a chance.....no need to lift then.

my 2step has the same effect almost. when it kicks in it helps slow down and mesh the parts in the trans

Kinda...I've used my limiter before to shift, but it seems kinda hard on **** to do that. The shift cut I have has a load cell on the shifter so I can pull the gear when I want instead of waiting for a given rpm. It should work good and be easier on parts. Now I need to get my rear done so I can leave on it. I broke the 10blt twice this year.

Care to share your set-up? It sure leaves purty!

my setup is a SBE 346 LS1 with a 23x/60x 25x/59x 111+3 cam with hand ported 243's milled to 54cc and flycut pistons to .120. 12.3.1 compresion with a fast 102 and 102t/b running E85... N/A it made 500RWHP and 438RWTQ going through a Stock T56 and a 3.5 moly drive shaft and a Ford nine 35 axles 4.56 gears and 28 slicks. its nothing crazy......

Shift cut is not installed yet. I have to make a new shift lever to incorperate the load cell.

Sounds like some old outdated cam? you should have went with a custom cam. 400whp with a custom spec cam, for the same mods everyone runs is the way to go. Its not worth it to hand port junk stock heads anymore too. Get some brand new CnC ones, and make 430hp/405tq is really good.
I think I'm gonna go faceplate too.

yeah F/P is going to fix all my high rpm shifting problems on top of my new clutch setup.

And i wish i got some custom working on 2 more to try as well. but this cam is specs for some spray..... and yes its custom. its a eps intake lobe and xe exhaust. what lobes are on yours ??? I may try some LSK or LSL next

Is it me or are you not using the clutch and only letting off the gas quickly between shifts? And this trans has lasted 5-6 years(not including your "mistake"? I have very little time on my Faceplated trans and am interested on how you have used yours. Thanks.

its a modification that eliminates the blocker and synchronization in the transmission and allows the ability to shift into the next gear without any delay. Its mainly for a drag car but many of us, including me, have driven them on the street for years.
