i have it. its pretty dependant on your setup.

if your rpm in 4th gear is where you want it through the traps, and you need more grunt off the line the mn12 gears will help.

if your not tacking it in 4th you should change the rear gear first.

1st and 2nd pull like a mother compared to before. im not taking advantage because im scared to run slicks, but if i did it would help the 60'

Yeah it all depends on the over all combo. Rear end ratio, how much and how the power is made, weight of the car and type of intended use. For your car with 450rwhp and a rolling weight of between 3200-3600lbs, a 2.97 ratio might make sense depending on tire height, rear end gear and suspension. If the car is hooking, a 2.97 will get you a better 60' time but after that, I doubt gains will be seen over the 2.66 ratio. So figure maybe .3 off your et in the best case. It's probably cheaper just to step up the gear a little more or run a shorter tire.

RPM's in 4th are good ....6700 rpm's.Just looking for a better launch & 60' .Is it worth the $ & effort .I leave on the lmtr @ 7grand & would like a lil more off the line .
4:56's with a 27/9/15 MT slick ,3400lbs & on a diet .Car sees ALOT of street time with about 30 passes a year at track.

I am not changing 5 or 6th I like them & just want the 297 first gear instead of the 266 1st..This car has seen 4 PWR TOURS & will see more .I am pulling 23mpg at 70 mph / 2100rpm's at 70 mph .With 4:11's pulls 25mpg @ 70mph.
Just looking for a LIL more ...... I like MANY of YOU have it BAD .....no there is NO CURE & 12 step programs have proved useless !
My stock shortblock has 118k with rod bolts on it .Money is earned the old fashion way here with lots of so just want to spend wisely with the best results .

You have to change 1-4 gears and the cluster gear as well. This also effects the 5-6 ratio. With a 4.56 gear, you shouldn't need a 2.97 first gear. Put the bottle on it and leave on a 150 shot @ 1100 psi bottle pressure. That should fix your 60' issue and make a little more power.
