Default monster vs twin

Looking to see if I need to go ahead and change clutch to a monster level 2 twin disc. I have a level 6 single now. Going to be around 640 rwhp na and close to 1000 with spray.

Level 6 has low miles ans looks felt great after old motor pulled. Just curious if need upgrade while motor is out.

Also have a tick lvl 2 t56.

My $02 is yes. double or triple disc clutches have 2-3 times the surface area as a single disc clutch

Not to mention you can get away with less clamp and more mild disks for a given power. At 1000 wheel you may have to go lvl 2 triple or lvl 3 twin.

A lvl 2 triple will feel like a stock clutch compared to a lvl 6 single.

Think you're still a little optimistic on the NA power, but to mirror blue99's point, the trans should be high on the to-do list.....assuming the rear end is stronger than the 10bolt. Trans work for sure AND DEFINITELY opt for a good (great) twin at minimum.

The clutch is designed to work in all LS platforms. The LT1-R is actually what I'd recommend for severe track duty, it will be your best best for longetivity...racing and doing it once usually don't go together especially when talking about making and actually using the power you're talking about

It's a twin and can be viewed in the link I posted in #9. I'd talk to RPM or Tick about the trans.
