Default Aftermarket gears

I'm finding listings for replacement gears for the T56 that are described as "aftermarket". Does anyone have any hands on experience with these or know who's producing them? Established vendors and ebay are both listing them.

The auction listings don't directly state aftermarket gears, but from the description and price I'm assuming.....

I see what you mean now. I haven't used any yet but it sure would have helped the last few GTO units I built.

At first I thought you were seeing reference to the 1990s Borg Warner units, which were Ford and GM "direct fit" (but not really) assemblies meant for T5 applications.

Part of TGB 5/6 cluster description notes "CHA gears..".
Company initials or reference to China?

Betting the latter.

Regardless, Tremec's price increases and backorders made this an eventuality.

googled it an american company selling imported parts, if you click on the drop down selection menu at TGB you will see the option for tremec or aftermarket.

I know they offer a choice, wanted to see if anyone has touched and inspected the imports and their opinions on machining quality, dimensional tolerance, etc..

If the auction descriptions are to be believed, they've been available for long enough to hopefully get some quality/durability feedback.

Thought some of the site vendors/rebuilders may be able to offer some insight.

Another nice development is the availability of just the outer synchro rings separate of the whole assembly.

At least I've not seen them offered before.

Blocker rings or sliders?

T56 blocker rings have always been available separate.
TR6060 b.r. are grouped together as an assy.

Miss understood description, should have researched part number provided. Thought they were offering the outer slider of the sychro assembly at those prices.
There's a manufacturing opportunity, if the inner hubs don't wear out then offering just the outer ring as a replacement part would rock.

Even better...design replacement synchronizers that incorporate the new design keys as used in the TR6060/magnum.
