Default More clutch problems!!!

Spec 3 clutch, new hydraulics...

Finally after days of fighting this install, everything finally went well... Untill the very end of course...

The pedal is aprox: 3/4's of the way up before the clutch engages... Now what?

Did you install the shim spec provided?

It should be a metal one if it was the newer spec 3s if not its the green card board type.

Yes, I have the metal spacer between the slave and the tranny.. it's about a 1/8" thick.
I did the drill mod mod as well...

I called spec, and their tech told me I might need to add "another" shim...

You took yours out, they say to maybe add another shim....

Yes, we installed the trans and the engagement was almost at the top and just barely touching the peddle would cause the clutch to slip. We pulled the trans back out the same night and removed the shim. The engagement point is now a little less than 1/2 way up.

100 miles on the new clutch so far... the pedal is still engaging higher than I'm use to, but that is the only thing... I dont have any clutch chatter or anything...
