Default Noisy Shifer in 2nd

13k miles always been noisy in second, I can push the shifter a bit to the middle and quiet it down. Ideas, simple shifter adjustment?

I wonder if the Hurst shifter has shift stops like the Pro? Have you taken the boot off to check for anything loose?

There are no stops on a factory Hurst. It is still good to see if the body boot has a hole, though. What did you find?

Those factory Hursts don't have anything you can adjust. You might try the old trick of making a gasket for it to help isolate the vibrations. It may not quell them entirely, but could knock them down to a more acceptable level.
