Default ZO6 clutch engagement point

I put my clutch in bout 1000 miles ago and the engagement point seems kind of high. Begins engagement about halfway... fully engaged near the top. I got the clutch/f.wheel/p.plate combo, 2001 slave and master, and did the drill mod. Doesn't seem to be slipping or anything. I didn't put add/remove any shims...didn't think i had to w/ a stock clutch. Is this normal???

I put one in a couple months ago and it engages at the top also. It took a bit getting used to but makes quick shifting pretty easy. As long as it fully engages and disengages, it shouldnt be a problem.

I have an 04 vette and believe GM uses a Z06 clutch in and it does the same.

I think he is asking if you can adjust it so the clutch is fully engaged before the very top.

My car is stock and full engagment is not far from the top. Its an 01 with the Z06 clutch. It drove me crazy when I first bought the car, cause My SRT and my Scion tC are the opposite. Now I am used to it, and it makes it easy for lazy shifting.
