Strange issue with Raptor shift light
I installed my shift light this weekend and I am having a strange problem. The unit worked fine on Sunday and on the way to work on Monday. At lunch time the light started lighting up at 1650 Rpm - it is set at 6300. What is stranger is that it did this in 1-3rd gear but in 4th it came on at 2200 or so. WTF?? On my way home - back to normal. The only variable I can think of is the weather - it was freakin hot today and the car was not in the garage as normal. Anyone had a similar problem??

mine does this too. It seems like when I am first driving the car it will come on and stay and at low rpms. But after driving the car for a while it goes off at 5900 like it should. Let me know if you hear anything from raptor

Just a thought, where did you tap in for the 12volt supply? Might be on feed that pulls to much current or has some voltage spikes. Might try a solid 12v supply. Could even be a not so good of a (-) ground,as well.
Where did you tie into for rpm signal?
As for mine have had no problems whats so ever. Tied in to back of pcm connector vs signal from under dash. Used good ground at steering colum attatch point and a strong 12volt supply, from one of the larger keyed 12v wires.

You have the light hooked up to a source that stays hot while cranking, the voltage drops too low and it will go into another mode, you can tell by the way the lights flash, they flash a lot slower and the it will light up at low RPM. Wire it to a source that shuts off the 12v to the light while cranking and it will work fine.
Thats what I found for the last two I had anyhow
