Default Oh goodness, did I destroy my stock clutch?

I'm wondering if I'll need to replace it immediately...

After making some very stupid decisions (I made way too many passes way too close together) I think my clutch decided to give up on me. I let it cool down and then drove it home from the track. It went home just fine- no problems at all.

I'd just like to know if I can keep the stocker in there for a while (no racing of course) or if I need to go ahead and swap it out now?

The thing has put up with a lot of abuse. Since I've owned the car, I've made well over 60 passes.

It didn't seem to on the way home, but it sure as hell did on my last two passes.

Ok, there is hope for you. I smoked my clutch BAD on a 1-2 powershift at the track back in the summer. Smoke rolled out from under the car, I parked it for around 3 hrs, it stunk really bad.

I drove it home 60ish miles and took it easy..no problems. It wasn't 100% ok after that, sometimes it would still slip on hard shifts or launches. Well a few months down the road and it is holding like a beast. I guess the cooler weather and the normal driving broke the glaze off, cause it has been fine for a while now, and held up to the passes in my sig on the spray......check it out.

FWIW this is the stock clutch with 35k.....it's an 02 so ZO6 of course. Good luck man!

When I had a stocker and hot lapped a few times it would slip between gearchanges but would work fine after a cool down.If its working OK for you now it should hold awhile under normal driving.

Well I would go ahead and get a Spec Stage III right now if I didn't have that 8 lbs pulley tune coming up in two weeks
