Question Best clutch to buy that will allow me to ride out the whole.

I need to get a clutch, but I want the best clutch that will allow me to ride it out the whole. I was told that the spec 3 clutches does not allow you to ride it, it will just grab. What clutch will allow me to rev up to 4 grand and just ride it out, instead of just dumping it and breaking my stock 10 bolt?

You can slip the hell out of this thing LOL....
If you need to slip it that hard to come out the hole, you need a better set-up for the car IMO.

$1000 is a small price to pay for a clutch that will actually hold up to that kinda abuse...clutches do NOT like to be slipped. Especially ones that hold a decent amount of power.

By the time you add up the price of a billet steel flywheel, clutch, new slave, pilot, and bolts, along with shipping from several sources, the Textralia isn't much more expensive.

I'm still breaking mine in, and don't launch like that anyway, so I can't say that the Textralia will or won't do what you want, but I wouldn't let a $100 (more or less) difference make my clutch choice.

I certainly wouldn't describe the Textralia as having anything like a stock feel, at least not yet. It is getting smoother, though. It's closest to feeling stock when cold (leaving the driveway in the morning) and gets more "grabby" (harder to slip) as it warms up. The puck material seems to behave kind of like a racing brake pad that needs some heat in it to really reach it's full bite. That's probably a good thing for most people, especially if you intend to slip it through the launch (getting it VERY hot) and then expect it to bite.

I doubt if the LS7 clutch would take that kind of abuse. It is bigger and maybe has more clamping force than the LS6 clutch to hold more power, but it's apparently the same type of lining, which LOSES bite when it get's hot. The secret to making that kind of clutch work is to slip it as little as possible when you are going to beat on it.

You are right I do need a different setup, like a 12 bolt and some slicks but for right now I don't have the money for a 12 bolt. The reason I ask is because I have the Z06 clutch and if I rev anything above 2000 rpm it slips bad and it has been doing it since I first got it. I may have exagerated on reving up to 4 grand, but just need something that will hold better when trying to slip the clutch. I may just save up and get the textralia if it like you guys are saying.

Textralia clutches are designed to let you slip the clutch through first so you can control your launch and tire slip. It is very easy to slip this clutch and its easy to get used to.
