Default adjustable master

I have been thinking abotu getting an adjustable master for when i put my new clutch in, and i was wondering what one to get. Also i heard that there is a way to modify the stock one to make it adjustable? How would i do that? thanks-jarett

I just got done last week doing this write up myself.
It worked great and well worth the time and money saved.


I also upgraded to the ram hd

I recommend the Mcleod Adjustable. I have one on my car and over the last 3 years have had no problems. I sell these with most of my transmission rebuilds when they purchase my whole package.

Joe, what is the optimum pedal height on a mcleod MC? I'm sure you need to watch how much pedal throw you give it as you could possibly push pass the suction point right? I can't find anything on the internet what the pedal height is supposed to be or what point not to cross.

For what it's worth, the Ram Adjustable seems to be exactly the same unit as the stocker, but it's adjustable. They basically just welded on a nut that allows one to shorten/lengthen the rod length.

I'd like to know how you determine this as well. I'm trying to decide whether or not to re-use this MCleod on a new clutch.
