A bunch of really long extensions and a swivel. Come in from the back of the tranny with the long extensions and the swivel and you should be able to get to it pretty easy.

Also remove the trans mount cross member, if not yet out and lower the back of the trans about 4 inches. It helps to get the swivle on the bolt.

What they all said + a whole lot of cussing. In process of clutch swap and putting back the pieces, my problem with the bell housing was the top bolt and the one to it's left. Wire bundle was in way of top bolt so had to push it with an extension while setting the socket w/ u-joint and extension in place. The top left one....I just pray I got it tight enough....no room between it and the transmission hump.

I can get that bolt off in about 1 minute with either a wobble extension and a regular socket or a Snap-on brand wobble socket. Snap-on wobble sockets are ball and socket style wobble NOT the universal joint type wobble(they dont work for s&%t).

let the trans hang by its own weight, take the trans x member off and slowly lower the jack thats under it, it will hang and help expose the top bolt, THEN you gotta use extensions and swivels and such.

DITTO DITTO Best to pull the trans off of the bell housing. Will give you the needed angle and clearance.
