Exclamation Anyone wo has ran a SPEC Clutch Come In!!!

I have been running a spec stage II for about 7,000 miles with no track passes and it just began slipping. I even replaced the master cylinder and turned my flywheel. Have any of you guys had the same problem with you spec? If so do they have any sort of warranty on them? I am really pissed off since I have babied this clutch since I got it in August 05.

I've installed several SPEC clutches and have had overall good results with them as long as they are matched to the vehicle properly.

I suggest you contact SPEC and talk to them about your problem.

SPEC's warranty(if you call it that) is 120 days so expect no help from them. You'll get hot and cold responses on here about SPEC but just be glad it didn't blow up on you or weld itself to the flywheel.

So now I find out about this stuff about the Spec II! Great! I thought I did enough research before I bought it, but I guess not enough.

ive had a spec III xpad for over 20k miles and close to 100 passes still grabs hard as hell for me . i did go with the matched flywheel though . most issues usally are do to bad break in from what ive seen . i have however seen a few of the early design 3i's weld to the flywheel at the track but after you unlock them there still fine to drive on

I've had my stage 3 in for a few thousand miles and no problems. Mine chatters on take off but I have a Fidanza aluminum flywheel so I think that is part of my problem. Sucker grabs hard though.

Oh, I love my flywheel, but I think the lighter weight is contributing to the chatter of this clutch. Definitley a big difference in everyday driving between an aluminum and steel flywheel. On the fly acceleration is quicker too.

i have a spec III in my car and i cant say enough about it..i have the slight chatter at take off to but that seems to be a 50/50 split between spec cars as to the chatter...but overall couldnt ask for a better clucth great longevity and hell of a grabbing force when the time comes
