Default Whats wrong with the slaves?????

Im buying a new slave cylinder for my 99 TA and ive heard horror stories about pre 2001 slaves.Im just curious as to what was wrong with these pre 2001 slaves because they seem to be less than half the price of the 2001+ models. Any opinions please! thnx in advance.

Go to gmpartsdirect.com and type in part number 15046288. That is for the upgraded slave and it is $121.00 shipped

GM did 3 series of upgrades for the salve over the life of the 4th gen, and i guess if your running a powerfull setup, you should consider the Mcloud slave...i might go that route

are you sure bout that...

im pretty sure that it was same 98-00 and then in 01 when they started using the ls6 clutch they needed to upgrade the hydrolics, which is where the 01+ version was released... otherwise this would be the first ive heard of such a story.

I wasn't aware that Mcleod made a slave?
And yes I belive the update by GM was to increase fluid volume in and out of the slave.
