Default Is it Worth buying a short stick for my stock hurst shifter?

Is it worth buying a short stick for my stock hurst shifter?? Cause for 24$$ or so i could buy a short stick vs a 170 for a short throw shifter. What are your opinions?

It is all a feeling thing some people all they want is just the short stick others want a differnt shifter and stock stick some like stock others want both replaced.

None are best really its what you want and like best. I myself will be dumping both stock parts soon.

Try to find near by people with setups and see how you ilke it.

I have the stock Hurst shifter and have been happy with the short stick for a long time now. It's definitely worth doing. As someone else mentioned, it's all in the feel and how much money you want to spend.

He wants to switch it back to the hurst but he ended up giving it to me. I tell u how it feels later tonight when i put my tranny back in. THey both had a lou short stick.

I cant believe i waited as long as i did to put the short stick in my car. I would definatly recommend doing it, regardless if your racing it or not. One of the best things i think ive done yet. I bought the one from WS6 store, not a bad price either. (oh and its easy as hell to do)

I have both the Pro 5.0 and UMI short stick.....I love it...At first it felt a lil notchy, but after ripping through the gears and not missing the 2nd to 3rd shift.....I am hooked and glad I spent the money for them both.

I had the ws6 store shortstick. It's great but when I bought the pro 5.0 I just cut and welded the stick that came with it. The offset is alot nicer, it centers the stick a lot better.
