quick shifter question
Ok, i was told I have a hurst base with a cut shifter....but it dosent have the hurst shift ****, so i dunno....but my question is, since its cut....could it be hard to miss/get into gear at higher rpm's? when im just driving it does in good, just kinda stiffer right b4 it goes into the gear.....but whevever im getting on it, and try to shift...i always have a hard time getting it into gear, its like i almost hafto wait for the rpm's to drop a lil bit b4 i can actually get it into gear

It could be the shifter.. but its probly the synchros or your just low on tranny fluid. Either way more than likely you have the stock non-hurst shifter so I would check into a pro 5.0 if I were you or a stock hurst (alot cheaper). I had the stock hurst and went to the 5.0 and it was a great improvement, 3rd is like a dream come true now. If you know anyone with a 5.0 ask them to let you shift it and youll see. A new shifter will fix the problem of it being in the middle of the assy... and almost touching it.

First post in the sticky https://ls1tech.com/forums/manual-transmission/510788-manual-transmission-faq-look-here-first.html what it is, is a little piece in the line between your master and your slave that keeps fluid from getting to the slave, so at high rpm's you wont have sufficient fluid in the slave for the clutch to fully disengage.

No, that doesnt mean too much. But bleed the system before you do anything else because most likely you have air in the system. Right now Im kinda drunk so Ill have to post up how to do it later
