Default Stock Hurst shifter

Well I got my WS6 about 2 months ago, one of the factory ordered options was a hurst shifter. Said it on the build sheet my dad printed off at his dealer, and on the window sticker. I felt it shifted very nice. My brother has a 2002 CE WS6, his car didn't come with a factory hurst, he ordered what summit called the factory hurst when he go his car a year ago. He drove my car and said my shifter feels totally different than his, along with being looser.

We both agree it's tighter than his stock shifter was, but I drove his car right after mine and it really does feel tighter and a shorter throw. I had to remove the center console last week to tighten the shifter, (rattled when the rpm's would climb) we compared his stocker to my "hurst" and they appear to be the same shifter. Also his shifter says Hurst on it, right below the ****, mine doesn't. What the deal? Can someone look at their stock hurst and let me know if it says Hurst. Has anyone else ever experienced this? This was a $325 option! My brother bought his "OE" hurst from summit for like $130

tHe factory Hurst does not say Hurst on it. I think your brother got the aftermarket billet or billet plus Hurst. I think they come with a stick that replaces the factory isolated stick. There is the reason you feel the diff. Also I think the A-M Hurst has a little shorter throw.

Factory Hurst sucks....2nd to 3rd shifts are terrible !!!!!
I was deeply disappointed with this "reputable" muscle car part.

I got Pro 5.0 with LSS and I'd never look back....

The factory Hurst was the biggest waste of $300 ever. I sold mine on here for $50 and replaced it with a Pro 5.0 within 6 weeks of picking up the car brand new...
