Default Launching decent....

What is exactly is the process in launching a manual? I've gotten to the point where I can go through the gears at WOT pretty well, i'm just still kinda worried about trying from a dead stop cuz i'm not sure how to do it.

You hit my strong point, first track-If your on street tires or drag radials you wanna take your car too about 3000 rpms then you can either slip the clutch(very tricky) or dump it, if you dump it wait when you roll out and start too bog then floor it. Ive gotten 1.7 short times this way on street tires.
If you have slicks that are up too the task and a good rear and clutch its simple 5000 rpms and side step it. If you hook and have a fast car you can expect 1.5 short times.
Now on the street you need a diffrent tec...
What I used too do on my DRs is, take it too about 3200 rpms and dump it when I would fell it bog I would get into the nitrous too lug me otta the hole.
when your racing on the street traction is everthing Ive seen 11sec cars beat 9sec car on the street becaues of traction.

The best way is find a back road and test and tune, invest in a gtech it will give you the short time, its not allways what feels better.

Yeah I was out trying the other day. I found the best way was to have it at about 2500 rpms and kind of ease out of the clutch...not really fast but not slow either. Just kind of one smooth motion. I tried 3000 rpms and I Just smoked my tires. After about the 3rd try I tried 2500 and I just took off like crazy.

As said before, practice-alot. I used to have a measured 60' in front of my parents house. The neighbors hated us.

There's not really one method that will always work. Every tire/suspension/power combo will be different on every surface. Learn how to work the clutch and practice.
