Attention!!spec I Got The Pics
I finally removed the transmission and the Spec3+ clutch that was slipping, after a 3500 mile break in or use and 1 good trip to the track.

Good luck. I had their stage 3I and it lasted a whole 5k miles and I never raced it and I was on street tires. Called them and got told "It was normal". Ill never own another Spec clutch.

Is that clutch rated for the kind of uber HP you're putting out? Most people with a set up like yours don't run 3+'s. Spec 4 at least from what I've seen on this board.
Have a spec 3 here with about 4K on it. Drive the **** out of it but on street tires. Never chattered from day 1. Love it.

I missed the flywheel pics initially...my apologies. Ok, as a whole it really doesn't look that bad, though it does appear that you have gotten it quite hot. What were the symptoms that led you to pull it out? How much torque are you currently making? Let me know and we can go from there...

The car currently makes 520rwhp and 485lbs of torque. The clutch was working awesome all the time that i had it,our track then finally opened,so I decided to go and try it out.Made 5 runs n/a 11.1,10.80,10.80 then 10.60et.Then I sprayed it with a 100 shot, car rabn badass 10.20 et twice. The last run was when I felt it weird.Didnt think anything of it.When I was going home that night, thats when I realized the car did not feel the same anymore,it was just slipping when taking off then it just worst and worst till finaly I woukd let out my whole pedal and the car would barley move.I dont have another car so Im kinda in a bind, any help would be very appreciated.

The 4I I had worked very well.... but this type of stuff is exactly why i put a th400 in and will never look back. I'll take the loss of mpg and the slower highway cruising speeds over dealing with that **** any day..... especially when you start making some big power and want to go to the track with it.

It seems that there is a general misconception that clutches just decide to slip one day for no apparent reason and this is not really the way that it works. You see, there are a number of potential causes for slippage including over-powering, a mis-surfaced flywheel, contamination of the disc, driving style, break-in, etc...It is very uncommon for a clutch to simply stop functioning on its own...
I am always willing to assess and assist with any situation that you may have, but in order to do this I need the full story, as told by the clutch itself. If you have pictures of any unit that has a "problem" you are welcome to send them to me. I will continue to help any of you understand any clutch related issue, even if you are using someone elses clutch. Let me know if you have any further questions... Thanks,

Possibly some bad hydraulics? I've got a spec 3 in my car and I love it... its a little grabby at times in the city but when I get out on the highway and really romp on it, it holds really good. Granted im only at 400 HP but still.
