Default Tranny Issues

I tried doing a little search on my issue but to be honest i have NO clue what it could be to even search for it.

Basically before i start my car and after it's been warmed up for a while, the shifting is fine; however, from a cold start, i almost feel like i'm about to break my shifter off putting it into any gear. i feel like i'm about to push my clutch through the floor and it's still hard as hell. i have to put some real effort to get it into any gear while i'm driving. Also, while i'm driving, it feels as if the clutch is catching beyond the floor because when i let off the gas and clutch, it feels like i'm down shifting or something.

This just started happening like... last week i believe. Before that it was perfect, and just one day it started doing it. No warning signs or anything. it's my DD and i'm still in school right now so i haven't had time to check the clutch and haven't really had the time to check the tranny fluid either (hopefully get to that tomorrow).

any ideas... ???

Start off by checking out the tranny and hydro fluid. Could possibly be clutch related.

Swap the clutch fluid, a turkey baster, dot 4 fluid, a few towels and a friend to help pump the fluid, then wrap the clutch line with a peice of fuel hose slit down the middle and wrap it with metallic tape.

yeah that too, but you're tearing up your syncros in the mean time with all the driving.

This could be something as simple as bleeding the clutch

Wal Mart takes anything back. . . .

In the mean time, time your shifting to the RPMs
