Mine does it too... Try wd40-ing the connection from the master to the pedal. I still have yet to do that. Even after the clutch/master swap.

It's probably the spring which indicates it's about ready to break. Mine started squeaking really bad and then I heard a pop one day driving. Looked down and saw the spring. Never replaced it since and the squeak is gone.

well i found the part number and it is GM PART # 10278874 and 38.80 gm list price and 23.00 from gm parts direct and i have heard you and just take it out and the clutch pressure will push the pedal back so im going that route.

There are some bushings under the dash in the clutch linkage. Use some spray grease on them.

Forget the spring, it's just gonna break again if you replace it, and the car will drive fine without it.

+1 they break all the time and you'll get used to it after a day or two of driving...ive been "despringed' for about 20,000 miles now

I ahve replaced my spring about 5 times now and three times under warranty. Heck the last one was just replaced less than a year ago and it is already broken.

There is a plastic bushing cup the spring rides in, most mechanics dont leave it in place and it causes the spring to squeak as well.

I can replace the spring in 30 minutes, but that because I ahve dont it soo many times. I have been driving for about 3 months with mine broken so I may not replace it this time.
