Default Good Daily Driver Clutch for (500-700rwtq)

What clutch setup would you recommend? I have heard good things about the Spec 3+, if you owned a spec 3 and thought that was a good daily driver clutch I disagree. Grabbed to hard and quick and made me slip it too much to have decent starts.
What flywheels do you go with, GM flywheel or Spec Flywheel or other.
Any other clutch recommendations.
Definatley under 1000k for total setup.

Textralia OZ700 with the z-grip or x-grip clutch. Z-grip holds more than the x-grip. I'll be able to tell you how the z-grip feels when I get my car back this week. The x-grip was created for corvette owners who wanted a clutch that could hold alot but wanted the stock clutch feel.

It will be street driven but also subject to the track multiple times in the summer.

+1 on the Textralia OZ700. I have it in my car with the Billet Steel Flywheel. It feels almost like the stock clutch but holds the power much better.

I've been happy with my Centerforce.

yes a clutch does effect the pedal feel for street/daily drivability. However its mostly the master cylinder.

I had one master and the clutch disengage high off the ground and was a pain to depress, I install another master it drove like stock!

So if you buy a strong clutch that is tough to disengage, pick up an adj master..

Also be selective on what you read about clutch reviews online. Most people complian before giving props.

The Stage 3+ will certainly be more drivable. I assume that you are using the stock flywheel now...is this correct? If so, how many time has it been resurfaced? It may be reusable but if not our steel flywheel will be a great upgrade. You can contact any of our dealers for pricing information. WS6, Tbyrne, etc... Let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks!

+1 I really liked my old Centerforce clutch. It held up to my daily driving and track use in a heads cam car.

Dependent upon the amount of material removed with the first resurface it may be reusable again. Ultimately you want to make sure that the flywheel is flat and that it has had no more than .015 removed overall. A flywheel that is too thin can cause some pretty significant issues. Let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks!

Pedal goes down under high rpm, unless it has a specific date code they wont replace, if it does its free.
Far as flywheel surface removed i think it was a lot. .030 if i remember correctly.

Yea , my spec chattered like crazy and craped out after like 7 months of easy street use. I dunno what clutch ima get but I will never spend any money on another spec product. Complete and utter waste of my time and money.

I didnt have luck with the spec 3, never buy that again but 3+ looks better. I am not going to buy a puck style after having one. Text. might be an option as well. Text. x grip , dont know what thtey cost yet might need to make a call.
