Default Throwout bearing question

When My foot is off the clutch there is chatter, when I push the clutch in it goes away. I am guessing it is the throwout bearing. I have a Textralia clutch and you cannot buy Textralia parts you have to buy the whole clutch assembly. So My question is will the McLeod throwout bearing work on this assembly? http://www.byunspeed.com/product_inf...915bde4f46b601

Thanks - Jeremiah

Isn't the TOB integral with the slave cylinder? I can't see needing a textralia specific part as long as the dimensions of the TOB you use are of the same as the one you have now.

It is serviced with the slave cylinder, unless you bought something aftermarket. I believe the textralia is designed to work with factory hydraulic's and bolt in without modification. You may be able to buy a TOB at an auto parts store, but with GM its only available with the slave cylinder.

But that's my problem...you can't buy just a textralia slave cylinder. You have to buy the whole clutch assembly right? I'm confused thanks - jeremiah

You don't need to buy a complete clutch assembly. The slave and the throwout bearing from GM are a complete unit and thats all ya need if your bearing is fubar. The Tex clutch assemblies work with stock configuration. By a GM "f" body slave assembly and you are gold. You can also use the Mcleod bearing like you asked but I would reccomend replacing the slave also while in there anyway. Also when you are in there replace your pilot bearing. And before you ask, yes you can use the stock GM replacement pilot bearing if you want. HTH

just to make sure, I have a 99 but the 00-02 slave cylinder will work better than the 98-99 one right? I heard it was upgraded?

The hydraulics were upgraded for '01-'02. As I understand it, you can't even buy the older style anymore so anything you buy new will be the upgraded style.
