Default Temp drop and now 1 inch of dead pedal?

Hey guys and gals winter hit her in Cincy recently and the temp dropped down soon after that. anyways when the temp dropped my clutch pedal got about 1/2-1 inch of play at the top of the travel. the engagement is about the same and the tranny shifts about the same. the hydraulics are 1 year old from byunspeed. i tried to bleed the clutch through the reservoir and it feelt good but then when i came back later it was back to the same feeling. any ideas?

I know my McLeod does this in cold weather, but goes away as the fluid warms up.
I would suggest flushing the fluid thru bleeding it at the slave. It always helps to maintain the fluid, it helps keep these type problems from occuring.

Definately the weakness of the LSx manual trans cars
Adjustable master cylinders help as well, to adjust this 'dead travel' out pedal.

mine does this as well when it's cold out. after about 10 minutes of driving the pedal is back to normal. an adj. m/c wouldn't really help because once it heats up, the pedal would have pressure to disengage the clutch.

The clutch return spring, if it breaks it does the same thing and its quite a common occurance.

My clutch return spring has been broken and out of the car for months now, and I had very little play. We bled the whole system a few days ago, and the play in the pedal is completely gone.
