Is the slave cylinder sold by oreily's the same as the 01-02 slave cylinder sold by GM?

I am gonna bet no. It is more than likely an off shore knock off.
I just use the GM ones for piece of mind, not a job I would want to do twice.

I always use the GM hydraulics for peace of mind. It's way too much a pain in the *** to change if it doesn't work or fails.

The GM ones blow out often enough anyway, they arent high quality or anything. I had the bleeder screw strip on one and I barely tightened it hand tight. **** the autozone one might be better.

I just want to know if you can find the 01-02 slave at a local autoparts store? I got a part number for the oreily's slave from someone else on the boards so i do not know if it is correct...CSA360058.

My brother got a Ram slave Saturday and it is exactly like the ConiSeal slave I got from Summit. Same numbers on it and all. Just cost him more.

The slave cylinders and made by the same company, Ap which is in Europe somewhere. The ones that you get from the local parts store are the same ones that you get from the dealer, only at a lowr cost.

Ya, I went and looked at the slave today at Oreilys and it looks very close to the 01-02 slave I already pulled out of my car. It had the number D951004 on it and the box said it was made by Brake Best. So a Brake Best slave is made by Ap as well? I am really hoping this slave is the same one GM sells for 100 bucks more.

Thanks,
Bryan

Ap probably made it, sold it to Brake Best, and Brake Best put their own name on it. Companies do that **** all the time!

I heard about some fitting being a different color. Orange on the pre 01's and green on the 01-02. Does the Orielys have one of those colors. Wondering if it's the same as the "upgraded" one or like the 98-00 slave. I put a Oreilys one in mine with my text but i dont remember what color was on it. I needed it to get by and I am planning on upgrading my hydros. Do I already have the upgraded one just from Oreilys though? Thanks

Going a bit off topic

Question for M6Camaro "It had the number D951004 on it and the box said it was made by Brake Best. "

I have just bought a LS2 with T56 gear box with a slave cylinder with reference number D951004. What size clutch master cyclinder do camaro's use.
