Default cobra shifter

ok why wont a cobra shifter work in a f-body? are they really that different? because it looks the same to me.

yeah i know... i had heard something about the center part being centered differently or something...idk i found a nice one for a cobra on ebay...for cheap...n i thought it might work

id try and get a close up pic of both the shifters and see if you can compare, maybe someone will chime in that knows the answer.

yeah wheres 6 speeds inc when you need them i will do a google search of pics and see

ok according to what i found on google...they look to be the exact same!

hmmmm. I dont know, i tried just doing a general search using key words in diff combos too see if i could find out anything and im left with nothing lol.

worst come to worst you could always sell it on corral or something and make a little bit of money off of it if it doesnt work, Im sure youll have an answer on here by tomm. if the auctions not getting ready to end.

If you actually look at the two parts you will see why they are not interchangeable. They have different bolt patterns. Enough different that they cannot be cobbled to fit either application.

A drill won't fix this. They just simply won't interchange.
