Default 425+ RWHP guys, what clutch are you using....

425+ RWHP guys, what clutch are you using, how do you like it, any you don't like, etc. I'm a little bit confused between all the clutch brands.

McLeod REVLOK 2 sintered iron
SPEC S3 or S4 ceramic
SPEC S5 sintered iron
RAM 910
Or ?????

Whats the best holding, longest lasting, most liveable clutch? Post your thoughts or experiences here, please. Thanks, Shawn

McLeod Dual-Disk here! Mine is set-up perfect, feels almost stock, engages/dis-engages close to the floor, and pedal pressure is not stiff at all!

True to it's reputation, the clutch grabs on hard launches, so you better have a 12-bolt rear to go with the Dual.

I drove 20,000+ miles on the first one I had and only replace it because the Aluminum flywheel had a crack in it.

I know it costs more than the rest, but you'll put this one in and forget about it. You won't have to replace it for a long time!

I will absolutely put one in my vette when the power level requires a new clutch. Good Luck!

Randy

How does the McLeod Dual deal with a closer to stock powered motor? Just wondering since I'm kinda of the type to want the driveline that can hold the power before I have hte power to kill the driveline if ya follow me.

I had the spec stage 4 when I was planning a heads/cam nitrous car. It held great with bolt ons and 100 shot. Felt like stock and used stock hydraulics. Since my stroker buildup I've switched to a mcloed twin disk and it's great. A little heavier then stock pressure but this thing is a brute. Not bad on the street but a little grabbier then the spec stage 4 was.

Mcleod dual friction here.No chatter, light peddle and holds great so far.

Had a RAM 402/6130 and melted it in 1500miles.

the 6130 disk is for NA usa only and thats even listed on RAMs site. Go with a 910 for Boost or N20.
