Transmission Damage from running something over?

Default Transmission Damage from running something over?

Has anybody had any transmission or clutch damage from running something over?

rock, dog, woodchuck etc etc


anybody?

I've heard stories about holes in oil pans and cracked bellhousings but that's about it.

Yes we had a customer here in town ran over a small board and busted the oil pan, bellhousing, tailshaft housing and yoke. It was a nightmare. It was in a 2005 GTO.

yikes!

I ran over a woodchuck...the size of a small dog

this thing had to weigh 25-30 lbs

I still have to get my car in the air to see if any damage was done

A woodchuck???? I am sorry but that is to funny. I have never heard of anyone running over a woodchuck. I piece of wood maybe. Take a look for sure.

Yeah I ran over an armadillo once. It is like running over a box.

is the armadillo the woodchuck of texas? lol

the car is lowered pretty good...it did body damage...still have to check underneath

Animals (except for the elk) are usually too soft to break stuff underneath the car.

well he jarred my exhaust bad, which is directly mounted to the trans on the GTO's

so I think he might have jarred the trans

I hit a cement block n my 95 TA bustd the bottom of the tranny! Insurance covered it tho, so no biggy!
