Default T-56 in 88' IROC????????????

just installed a T-56 in an 88 IROC and installed a spec stage 3 clutch assembly. when installed we used a new slave cylinder, and master cylinder, but the clutch is slipping. we blead the hydraulic system again and again and yet it still wouldnt apply enough pressure to break the plastic band that goes on the slave when you install it. the system has all fresh fluid and components. can anyone please shed a lil light on this for me please????

thanks in advance

karl

What master cylinder are you using ? Sounds like its not getting enough fluid down to the slave to bust the straps .

Factory hydraulics ? Did you bench bleed them? Without an adjustable master, you may not be getting enough throw with the pedal travel. (4thgen pedals, or 3rd?)

Was anything done to/with the fork and/or pivot?

Firehawk238 is talking about my car. He and I was thinking something has to wrong with the hydralics, so we re-blead them again according to the GM manuel and all is good. The Spec 3 is nice. Thanks for the help.

Yup, you're right. As I recall Chevy put a ZF 6 speed in a 92' Heritage Edition camaro, but for some reason or another they decided not to offer that model to the public so it became another GM test vehicle.

SLP also installed the ZF 6 speed in the 92' formula firehawk. however, the ZF 6 speed and the T-56 are not one in the same. they are two different trannys, just fyi.
