Default Which clutch?

I am not sure what clutch to go with. I have a bolt on, cam (390rwhp) c5. Next spring i plan on spraying 100 shot MAYBE a 150 later. I dont want to spend a $1000 on a clutch either.

IMHO the clutch is a good place to go with overkill. Specially one your gonna spray.
For the amount of work to put a clutch in a C5 I wouldn't go cheap.
So I quess the ? is how much you willing to spend???

Yeah, I wouldn't hold out on the clutch either with that kind of power (cam and sprayed). $1,000 isn't cheap, but it isn't exactly top dollar for a decent clutch, either.

I dont mean to be rude, but you have to pay to play buddy....and like others have said dont skimp on a clutch. If you dont have the money for a good clutch maybe you should reconsider spray.

Well everyone is talking about don't go cheap on the clutch, well.. what are they? This guy is only going to be making 500 to 550 wheel at most with a 3200lb car, can't be that hard to get a clutch that will hold it.

That is what i was thinking. I think the spec 3 is good it like 650 torque. Anyone run the spec 3?

Show me someone that has NO BS 650 torque and that clutch is holding up reliably......I suggest cartek, but you say you dont want to spend that much...

That 650 torque rating is at the flywheel, not the rear wheels. I'm guessing with nitrous on the car, you're going to be hitting near that at the rear wheels (keep in mind the HUGE torque boost nitrous gives). Perhaps you should try a Spec 3+ if you like Spec. They are rated quite a bit higher than the Spec 3 and should give you more of a buffer power-wise.
