Looking for a tuner in the Southern Indiana area to turn off the air conditioning parameter on my ECU. Been trying to get the Crank relearn completed but it will not complete due to the AC codes...I don't have AC but it was not turned off in the original tune. Don't need a full tune since my chevelle is running good. The ECU is an E38 running a 5.3L from a 2008 Silverado.

I live in Holland Indiana, which is close to Evansville, Henderson KY, Owensboro KY, and a little over an hour from Louisville....If you know of a tuner in this area, please let me know....Hoping to either just delete the codes the AC is throwing or turn AC off, finish the crank relearn and then just have fun driving it! There should be some shops around you. I have Ls shops all around me here in PA And live in Amish land. Look on yellow pages for one. They can tune your car anyway you want it

Thanks for the heads up.....They did not respond to my inquiry....Still looking....do you know of anyone that can turn off a couple of DTC codes in an E38 ecu?

check out mike norris motorsports. He's in indianapolis. It's not southern but it shouldn't be that far of a drive for you. He is on the north side but he does all the lsx tunes up here.

Find the Southern Indiana thread. A few of ls guys around here have gone to a guy in Corydon, (IN) with great results. Picked up over 50+ rwhp from a mail order tune

Charles took a job on a pit crew. I want to say for a top fuel team but I'm not sure. I haven't heard anything bad about gread either.

A fellow member posted info off Charles FB. It's posted in southern in club. Something along the lines of. Gread is moving to downtown corydon. He will still be tuning via appointment only, on nights and weekends only.. He won't be taking on new work as far as building cars

Mike has never touched my car, but i will say this he is a guy that is known for great work being a standup guy that does a good and complete tune. I have spoke to him more than once about my car and he probably will get the work retuning it following a couple of other mods planned for the spring. i would be careful taking the car to unleashed.

I have to disagree with the comment about unleashed performance. I've taken my cars to all sortes of different supposed "tuners" in the market. Ranging from new York to north Carolina.... I've had some decent experiences, some flat out horrible experiences, and some really fantastic ones. I would rate unleashed performance as a fantastic experience. So much that I've brought 3 additional cars there for work and service. I always found them to be straight up, honest, and reliable guys. All my cars have picked up power and been better off upon leaving there location.
I know everyone has there own experiences but I promise ya...those guys have always done a fantastic job for me. I'm sure there's a reason behind there request. If anything they error on the side of safety and caution as to not damage any customers car.

Good luck to you in finding a tuner, but in my opinion you can't go wrong with unleashed.

Another vote for Charles at GREAD. He is the only tuner I let touch my car after a couple bad experiences other places I went to Charles and never turned back!
