Front plate is just something to make it easier to radar the plastic noses on many of todays cars. Though law enforcement officals will say its so people can identify you. Well unless you can see the future and know someone is going to do something by time your looking at a car to "identify" it, your looking at the back.

Signed, But here's a funny cop story...

I live in a small boating community called washington Township just outside of toledo. Anyways we have our own police dept. which is somewhat of a joke. The night I was doing headers and ORY on my car a squad car pulls up, the cop gets out, and in full uniform helps me finish up the install. Afterwards he looks over at the stock cats and says "Man I bet this thing is going to sound mean."

I dunno seemed funny to me having a uniformed officer helping out to modify the car with an "illegal" exhaust.

I hope you guys not running a front plate never drink a beer and drive.I know someone that lost a six-figure job because he got pulled over for not having a front plate.He had drank a couple beers,the cop smelled it after stopping him and he was on his way to jail for DUI.The company he worked for fired him after they found out.
I don't like them either but until the law is changed I'll be sporting a Ohio tag up front on the Z06.

i got pulled over, then officer gave me ticket for not having a front plate and expired license, it was a day after my b-day,then wouldnt let me drive home, had to call my wife from work to get me, i didnt drive my 89 ta too much, i had a plate from a car craft show on , the ticket cost me 160.00

I also got pulled over for not having my front plate. And get this - I had the plate, bracket, and bolts in my back seat (I had taken the plate off a few days earlier) and that really bored highway patrolman was still nice enough to give me an 80 dollar ticket. How do they sleep at night? I hope he chokes on it. Anyway, this is a great post and I'm going to help spread the word.

I signed the petition. I have my plate currently attached to the skid panel under the bumper. Still it was a pain in the *** taking the bracket off the front of the car. Also, Chevy made our bumpers with camaro on them. Who would know this with that stupid black panel and a plate bracket. I hope this gets passed.

It was almost passed last year in a very sneaky way. FOP is even sneakier and removed it hours before it went into being a law.

I don't run one on the Formula anyways. The other cars get one, though.
