Default Camaro+snow+k-rail=sore neck

Well, my 99 is out. Driving down I-80E a little after 4pm, right before Rt.45, I guess I hit a patch of ice or something and sent me sideways.

I kept correcting the spin, in what seemed like forever, after about 4-5 fishtails i spun completely around, at that point I was helpless. I even saw all the traffic behind me slowing down, thank god.

When I came around from the 360 I was aimed right at the concrete k-rail divider. I hooked the wheel when i was screaming "no no no no" at the car, but this is the end result. It hit my front drivers corner, and nicked the rear drivers bumper after the impact. It was enough to send my cue, baseball bat, sunglasses and radar detector flying. My cell phone which was in the cup holder flew and hit my passenger window and ended up under my passenger seat.

I also hit my head on my t-top, it hurts but I took some advil.

I don't think it'll buff out.

Thanks john.

Dan, did you have similar body damage as well? I'm worried about the insurance company totaling the car.

Well, I was holding off for a few more weeks because of a family problem earlier this week to buy rims and tires, but now it looks like im going to have to. I already have a new hood in the garage, so that'll be put to use.

Damn man, that sucks. At least your ok, 80 was a bitch last night took me almost an hour to get home from Orland.

The damage doesn't look too bad and could be MUCH worse.

FWIW, I doubt it'll be totalled.

Damn that sucks, glad you are alright. Luckly for me I don't have to drive mine in this weather because the roads suck. Not to mention other drivers.

Dude quit trying to make your car look like mine, you went too far!
(trying to put a little humor in here...)

Sorry about the car man but that can be fixed thankfully. Hope you feel better.

Hmm maybe time to get upgraded wheels now...

Sorry to hear bro. Even driving down Harlem in Norridge, my Z got squirrely. Hell, at stop lights my rear tires kept spinning as I held the break. Luckily noone was in front of me so I got 90% greens going 15mph. Streets aren't that much safer than highways.... I also don't think it'll get totalled.

Ouch. Always sucks when your nice vehicle gets fucked up. Id look into some Dunlop wintersports , had them on a previous car and they were awesome in snow.

sorry spazman! atleast ur alright! I just saw this. I havent posted for like 3 months or so. Just bought a house and have been settling in. Then I wrecked my truck in a cornfield... they said they would have had to pull the frame back 12 Inches to put it back to normal. ...wish i had pictures. But I had a similar wreck in the z28 this year in a parking lot... not nearly as bad but it still tore up the same areas... front driverside wheel, front bumper, part of the hood and the fender. dumb b*tch hit me. Cost about 3k. They shouldnt total it. But just be thankful ur ok. And besides whateveryone says... ductape does wonders... lol. I just put mine in the garage about a month ago before all this bullshit snow and ice. Goddamn birds were getting in there shitting all over the car. But now they are all dead and my car is clean... lol Goodluck getting it ready for this season!

UPDATE: The car is getting fixed as we speak, its out till the 15th. It was 4500$ in damage.

I was using sumotumo w/e tires. they were decent, but not enough. Right now im rolling on some blizzaks. Awsome tires!
