+3 but may be better depending on conditions of the track and the driver.

3.42 would be better than 4.10s since that motor will run out of rpm. You should be putting on full exhaust, headers, new cat, etc first. Hop onto www.thirdgen.org and poke around.

I would imagine 15s at best right now.

I honestly wouldn't expect much out of the 305. I had a 89 Formula 350TPI back in the day with a freshened motor, .520 lift cam I think, and full 3" exhaust. I never took it to the track, but I doubt it was even in the 13s

Yeah I dont even think id waste money modding it. Maybe save all that money and try to get a 350crate motor or look for a lt1 or something but your kind of throwing away money on it.
Cam,gears,longtubes maybe 14.50-14.80

Not really a waste of money to mod them. My friend's 89 formula with a 350TPI is pretty fast, for sure low 14s great car. He's got full exhaust, intake, and some kinda ungraded rearend. Will never have the potential of an ls1 but is not bad. You can still pick those cars up for pretty cheap also.

Default 305 TPI to 350??

I'd like to just swap in a 350 but im a little worried about swapping all the TPI stuff over to whatever i put in it. The new engine doesn't have to be TPI as far as i'm concerned... I'd like to go w/ some form of an iron headed 350
