Lost Keys And NEED HELP!
I lost my frickin set of keys with the remote and called a lock smith, wanted to charge me 195bux, I said fuckit cause I only had one set(long story). Then he makes a key for it on the spot, but cannot shut off the alarm with the door key like other cars , why?
I thought that the alarm shuts off if you unlocked the door!!
So that was that!
Does anyone have a hook up with a reasonable locksmith?
Or how much will a dealer charge me if I give them a vin number so they can cut the key?
Thanks Zeke

It would have been cheaper at the dealer. I do it all the time with cars I buy with no keys. I get them from a wrecker yard once a month.
you need the vin and proof of ownership. I've seen some cost as much as $70-$80 but they broke it off in ya.

I did the same thing last year. I washed the car put it on the trailer to go to the track, and must of sat them on the fender of the trailer when I crawled under to hook up the straps. drove 60+ miles to the track and found that I lost them.
I just went to a locksmith, they called the dealer and got the code. I had one in about 10 min. I think it was $50 at the locksmith. The thing is I can make one at work if I had the blank but no buddy would sell me a blank. And if they did they would probably want the same amount.

thanks pewter!
I'm at rizza now, hopefully they don't give me a hard time about it. I got my registration, bill of sale, emissions paperwork, and insurance. LOL
then I gotta run to 27th and california, pick up the car and fly to straightLine. Hopefully the guyz over there won't be pissed, I know time is money.
