Official 2nd Annual TCG Track Day - October 12th - Cordova Dragway

Thats right folks. TCG will be hosting its 2nd Annual Track Day on Sunday, October 12th at Cordova Dragway (www.cordovadrag.com) in Cordova, IL. This will be a FULL TRACK RENTAL, which is a first for us.

Gates open at 11am. We have the track to ourselves for a minimum of 4 hours and a maximum of 5 depending on weather, number of cars, etc. Come expecting to get a ton of runs in Cordova has a BOP event scheduled for the 11th for those interested in attending. The rain day for their event is the 12th. SHOULD the rain day be used, either full refunds will be given or Cordova will work something out w/ me. We DO NOT have a rain date.


Pricing

Racers - $35
Spectators - $10

Payments can be made to me via paypal (crazymook69@yahoo.com), money order or personal check (please pm me for address). If paying by paypal, please be aware the fees involved with those greedy ****** is 2.9% + $0.30 USD (payment of $35 is subject to approx $1.30 in fees so please pay accordingly).

If you have a friend that wants to come to the event, FORCE HIM/HER TO JOIN THE SITE AND REGISTER. I dont care if they decide to never visit again, but I would like each attendee to at least put their name in this thread.


Race Day Rules
Racers running 13.99 and below MUST wear a helmet, no exceptions.
Cordova requests that manual cars running in the 11s have a driveshaft loop installed (but this is not required).
Cars running faster than 9.99 requires a cage
Bikes running faster then 10.99 require full leather
Verts need a rollbar after 11.49


Directions

Midway (Chicago)- Take Central Ave. north (right) to I-55 West. Take I-55 West to I-355 North to I-88 West. Follow I-88 West to exit #18 to Albany (E) . Once in Albany turn left (south) on Hwy 84 follow 6 miles to track on left.

O-Hare (Chicago) - Take I-90 East to I-294 South to I-88 West. Follow I-88 West to exit #18 to Albany (E) . Once in Albany turn left (south) on Hwy 84 follow 6 miles to track on left.

TCG (The Chicago Garage) is actually my site so I can field any questions you guys might have (not to hijack your thread michelle).

This is a full track rental and will be fully staffed including safety crew/EMTs.

Most of the cars attending will be ranging from 16 second cars down to 10 second cars. I would have to check if anything beyond 10s or 9s is going to be a problem but I doubt there will be an issue as long as all safety rules are followed.

This is a TCG event so technically its open to TCG members only. However, all you simply have to do is register on the site and post up in the Track Day thread expressing your interest. I'll add you to the list and then move you over to paid once payment has been sent. I only request site registration so that I can keep track of everything.

Trust me, it is NO problem at all that you took the reins. I was trying to get people interested in racing here. I did not know they had to be TCG people though That's my bad. Thanks for coming here and clarifying that...

I hope this helps spark interest. I would LOVE to see these guys/girls bring some of these cars and run them!! I love looking around here and reading the threads and getting the help I need. I just with I could post more...
