Default Frosty is Here... And He Brought Negative DA's! New Stock C6 Z06 Record

New "Ranger Record"! If you have never heard of Ranger, he's notorious for squeezing every last drop of ET and mph out of almost completely stock Z06's.

His most recent record (as of a few days ago) for a stock C6 Z06 with drag radials is 10.7 @ 129 mph!

Check out the info and video here.

Hard to believe the Z06 is just as fast as the ZR1 he drove.

1.59's pretty good for a stock anything with a DR.

On the flipside, he didnt bang through the gears like I was expecting. Car's prolly still got more in it...

He has had a LOT more seat time in a Z06 than the borrowed ZR1, and I think the trap speed was several mph higher in the other car.

Only 2.5 MPH more in the ZR1. But yea seat time and the DAs made a difference I'm sure.

I read one of his posts on CF a while back basically saying you can't shift the Z06 like you do other cars. It was actually quicker when he didn't powershift it. But a 129.5 trap is VERY impressive for that car. I wish we could have some of those DA's down here

In the link it says he went 11.1 with a stock Z06, 10.8 with DRs. When he first did it I read on the corvette forum it was 10.96 bone stock, 10.82 or 10.83 with drag radials.

There was a ZR1 that ran at the same track (MIR) on the same day but on factory tires, it cut a 1.73 60 ft and ended up running a 10.74 @ 133.2 mph.

Judging by his 60 ft and the way he was barking the tires in every gear change including the 3rd to 4th shift, I highly doubt there is much more left to be had. If he loses a tenth off of his 10.74 run that would be pretty remarkable in itself.
