Default Nice reflection shot, black Z28 on 17" Street Lites

My Dad took this the last time they were in town and sent it to me. I thought it was a pretty cool reflection shot. Meguiars M105/M205 combo, and I think it was wearing NXT 2.0 at the time this was taken.

Thanks for all of the compliments! I have stock springs and shocks, but cut 1 coil off at all four corners and did the hose mod on the rear. UMI adj. PHB to center the rear, plus rolled fender lips.

Front: 17x7 with 215/50ZR17, cheap brand from DTD.
Back: 17x11 with 315/35R17 Toyo Proxes TQ drag radials. They have a goofy tread pattern and aren't as sticky as the M/Ts, so that's what's going back on when these wear.

Thanks! Here you go:

The tire is mounted correctly, see above re: goofy Toyo tread pattern.

Here are some more pics, I removed the IMG tags from these since there are so many. I am using a UMI adjustable PHB to center the rear, and the fender lips have been rolled:

And here are some pics from before I cut the springs 1 coil and did the rear hose mod. The height and gap almost makes it look like they stick out from the wheel wells, but they don't. With it lowered, it looks flush.

LOL, thanks! Get yourself a right angle grinder and some 4" cutoff wheels (~$25 at Harbor Freight), buy a few feet of hose ($2-3) for the hose mod, rent a set of spring compressors for the front (free!), and start cutting! I took one coil off of each corner, plus did the hose mod in the back. It was really easy to do, the hardest part was dinking around with the cheap spring compressors from Autozone. They worked without even removing the spring completely, just compressed it enough to get the cutter in there.

I think I want to come down just a little more, but not enough to pull the springs and cut them again. I'll just wait until i get the Strange coil-overs.

omg I love your wheel / tire setup man. how much lighter is this combo from say....an 18" chrome z06 wheel?

Thinking about selling my setup and getting some street lights!!

also, btw I see you have a bolt-on stalled auto setup w/ the pt4000. Gonna be going w/ this converter myself really soon along w/ a 3.42 rear end. How do you like the Yank? I will be staying stock-internal for awhile until I save up for some heads and a decent cam

Thanks man, I'm not sure how much the replica 18" chrome Z06 wheels weigh but I did find these two in the Wheels & Tire forum FAQ:

Chevrolet Corvette Z06 01 Forged 18x10.5 ........ 21.4 lbs
Chevrolet Corvette Z06 02 Cast/Spun 18x10.5 ... 21.0 lbs

For comparison, here are weights for the BSSL wheels in common sizes:

Size ....... Weight - lbs.
17x7 ......... 17.0
17x9.5 ...... 19.5
17x11 ....... 20.5

I LOVE the PT4000. I had a Vig 3200 with a Futral FM13 cam in my 1998 and it wasn't as quick or as fast as this SI 2002. I daily drive this car with 3.23s too mainly in city traffic, with no problem. Here is the thread I made with the results from the PT4000 install for more info, and also an in-car vid driving around with a few WOT pulls:
