Default Who says 4th Gens cant drift!!

Considering this was my first ever event, the car and I did quite well. Pardon the poor Iphone quality, its all we had that day. Got some gopro driveway sessions coming up if I can ever find some time.

I don't think anybody claims they can't drift.....we just don't waste our time/tires.

Drifting looks cool, but all I can ever see are dollar signs of rubber flying off of the tires.

Throw on some shitty tires and give it hell.

The sets of rears I have ( 2 -275's and 2 - 285's ) I got for $200. The 275's lasted for about 6 months and 6 runs. 285's did those 4 runs and will stay on till they de-laminate. My local used tire shop takes care of me and my buddy has a mount and balance machine. Considering all I have is kyb's and eibach's, Im suprised how well it handles. Oh and, 35/22 sway bar set. I want to order a cage, watts link, SFC's and LCA's from MWC today...maybe some bumper supports and get a line on some road race coilovers from QA1

You guys just need to know how to search craigslist for used tires. Then you won't give a **** about them lol. I also have a friend who does the mounting/balancing for me at the shop free so that helps.

*cough*

I have 2 nittos, 2 hoosiers, and 2 other street tires on the other side of the garage also..

^^That's what I'm working on, but just got my wheel situation sorted out last friday. Wasn't quite sure if I was going to go with 18's or 17's (availability issues). Everyone told me these things wouldn't drift, I know its not ideal, but to learn with its perfect since I had it. Hence the title. I also think my car sounds like crap, but thanks for the compliment

Pretty good job! I tried doing it once in my car a long time ago, and it just didn't work for me. Probably because I sucked at it.

I bet if you add a huge wing it would make you drift way better. j/k looks like fun if you have some spare tires.

That looks like a blast. I've always wanted get into that. Used tires are $25 a pop down the street regardless of brand and size. People knock drifting, yet bust out John Force burnouts on their expensive drag radials every time they run the quarter.

Nice work. Nice sounds.

All I have is the SLP 35/22 sway bars, KYB non-adj shocks, and eibach pro line's. I also added some steering angle.

Someone should make a wheel/tire sutup like some forklifts that are just solid rubber, then we'll see what goes first tires or motor.
