If you have vids of your f-body or LS based car beating a new 5.0 post vids here So I started this thread so everyone can post up there vids of them beating the new 5.0 mustangs or even gt500 mustangs. Please list the mods of both cars along with the vids. I will start it off.

Not a great video. We didn't intend to record, but my buddy in the 5.0 decided to record from his phone. My car is just a mild cam, and this was with old 3.42 10 bolt. The GT was 6 speed with a K&N filter and mufflers removed.

These are from when I was 230/224 cam and bolt ons in the heat/humidity. For reference, my car due to weight and aero is consistently ~.2-.3 slower than an equally modded fbody in the 1/4, 1/8th times are fairly close.
2011 GT: gt500 axle back, spare/jack removed
GT500: unknown mods, car had been a big blower car but was demodded just not sure how far, almost definitely CAI, tune, possibly pulley. Had 555R drag radials.

Ignore all the family talking in the background lol.. I let my brother take a crack at a new 5.0 in my car and while his launch sucks he rolled right on by him.. 5.0 is stock as far as I know and the T/A has LT's, ORY, Borla, 3800 stall, and tuned.. Both cars on street tires
My friend Derek Buckner in his 00 Z28. LT's, ORY, Magnaflow with cutout, LS6 intake, Tuned, 6speed against another friend of mine Josh Lyons in his 5.0 with CAI, Catback, and tune..
Same guys with the same mods except this time Josh was running full slicks on the Mustang.. While Derek couldnt manage to win this race you can see him reeling him in.. Not bad since the Z28 was on 420 treadwear Kumho 245 all seasons
I replaced my T/A with a C5 and this is me racing Josh Lyons again. His car only has the catback and CAI on this race. He went back to stock tune as he was having warranty work done to the car.. The Vette has LS6 intake, B&B axle back, and Blackwing intake. Both cars on on street tires
I have more videos but they all turn out the same way.. I have yet to get beat by a new 5.0.. My T/A went a best of 7.48 @ 95 on the jug and the Vette has been a best of 7.99 @ 90.5 so I dont own "fast" cars.. The new 5.0 is NOT what all the rumors say it is.. either that or the several around here all have CRAPPY drivers

Hmm not sure. Seems like its hit or miss. Usually comes down to driver. I rode in my friends 2013 5.0 with the 3.73s, Intake, hand held tune with like 2k miles and the car dead hooks from a 20 roll on stock tires. Kinda felt like my car when it was Lid only to be honest.

but i can say that at my tuners shop i saw a 5.0 with full exhaust, k&n, & mail order tune make 405hp on mustang dyno. lol thats a lil more than i made cam only. anyway i couldnt believe it but im glad ford finally did something good
