Well a buddy of mine picked up an E55 AMG and swore up and down it could pull a stock Z06 claiming it could hang with a cammed one. He also expressed interest in running a CTS-V. After receiving several youtube video texts of AMGs racing Z06s, I decided to give him his run... my car is off bottle in the vid, and has run a best of 11.80@122 in the 1/4 on motor. As for the CTSV in the vid it has an intake/pulley and made 552whp in its current form.

VENOM there would already be some vids but clutch wont hold at current power (800whp) and im out of fuel pump. Magnafuel 750 and a monster triple disc are in the works

Is there something wrong with his car, or is it not an E55? Stock those should trap in the mid-high teens. Nothing against the video though, I know how much fun it is to shut up cocky people that think their **** is way faster than it really is

Gocartone... Yes it is a real AMG he just bought it. It runs very well according to the owner and has no problems at all. I make more power than he does and im exceptionally lighter... That and being able to bang the gears definitely help... The AMG should run mid low 12s but mph im guessing 113-114...

I'm not saying your car shouldn't have beat him, just that it didn't look like a 122mph car racing a 114-118mph car. Those E55s put down near the same WHP as your Z06 does. They do weigh a lot more; but that doesn't add up to the rape in the video from a 50 roll

I agree man..his AMG probably makes around 400whp... May sound crazy but what ive seen happen time after time is in the majority of my races with many different cars it seems the cars im racing need at least 100 more whp than me just to hang or slightly pull me. E.g. The E55 would need around 500-525whp to close the gap and possibly edge me out. I am fixing to run the CTSV in this video and he outpowers me by 120whp... I almost guarantee we will be heads up or one of us will edge the other one out but it will be close.

agreed. tell him to check his intercooler pump. they fail often and cost about 50-60 hp. theres a local one i work on a lot that is probably a low 130 trap car with headers and 100shot (stock tune and pulley)

Friend owns an 03 E55, it put down 40X.XX on a superflow dyno. Only has like 20 something thousand miles on it. Ran 12.30's @ 114 at Sacramento Raceway (Sac Raceway is right at sea level). Just throwing that out there for info. Nice vids and nice cars btw!

Alll the stock E55's I have seen run 113-114 mph in the low 12 sec range, and dyno 400 to just under 410 on a DynoJet, if the CTS-V is making 550 rwhp, that raping looks about right.
