Bought a 2014 1LE
So last week I went to the local dealership to buy my mother a Cadillac, I didn't know what kind or if it would be a cross over or a car.
So I ended up liking the SRX with the Premium Package. I was about to go talk to the sales rep (family friend) but he was helping another customer. So i decided to kill some time. I ended up test driving a Silver 2014 1LE they had on the lot. It was a cool car and it felt right. But the silver wasn't my thing.
Anyway, We go look at more Cadillac SRX's in the back that were about to go up for inventory when I saw this beast coming off the trailer
(no pics of that sorry) When I saw it, I knew I HAD to have it. there are few 1LE's in my area and none of them are black and as menacing as this one.
It only had 6 miles on it. Still had the foam on the door. the car was just perfect. Like it was meant for me. So what I did, after test driving the cadillac I made up my mind.
Why not get both?
I honestly had no intention of buying a new car for myself but come to think of it, The Trans AM isn't realiable as of late and with school and Bayou Drag coming up in may I won't be able to have it torn down and put back together by then. So a nice clean Daily Driver wasn't out of the question.
I wrote the check for both cars and came and picked them up the next day.
(I had to trick my mother into coming with me, She about lost it when I told her I got her a car )
As for the 1LE...my car is a BLAST to drive. The thing corners like it's on rails. the Transition from Auto to stick isn't as bad as I thought it would be.
I drove it from Houston to Austin the day after I got it for the weekend to see some friends of mine at Texas state and UT. I ended up getting 19.2 MPG going 75-80 in 6th. 325 miles to a tank... I'm lucky to get 200 in the Trans Am.
The only thing the car does not have is a sunroof and the Recaro seats.. both of which I do not want nor care for.
I love the exhaust on this thing. It's not quiet but it's not loud and obnoxious. It's got a mellow burble at idle.
Anyway he're are some pictures I thought I'd share, Enjoy!
one of the trans am for kicks.. It's permantly staying on the race star's. I'm selling my chrome SLP wheels if anyone is interested PM me.

Man 1LE's are where its at!
You know it comes with a ZL1 fuel pump? Also that 3.90 rear gear should be standard on every camaro. Then the tires, lol, they put ZL1 front tires all the way around the car but left the wide rear wheels. I guess from what i read that was a last mintue change for handling.
But ya 1LE's are my favorite.

+1 on how you did it lol. Im 19 in school also working 32 hours a week and could no way in hell afford that. Not sure on the TA but Im gona assume you have a fair amount of money in that one too. But I live almost on my own, now that I think about it if I lived with my parents and didn't have to pay rent I could probably put a nice down payment on one and make the payments just fine. Only issue would be credit, I'd need a parent to cosign since mine is very minimal.

God is good is all I can say
Long story short. I came across some money recently and I took care of my priorities first.
The T/A isn't exactly All I wanted it to be. Or it's not yet where I want it to be. I did all of the work to it myself, I tuned it myself. Most of the mod money for the T/A comes from tuning locally. Very rarely do I need to spend "outside" money to do anything to it.
I'm in the oilfield business however. I'm fortunate enough to be in a position where I sell pipe and casing supply for oil wells. With tuning and School on the side my life is pretty hectic to say the least

I'm only treating myself with what was entitled to me after taking care of my priorities.
I Learned to manage money at a young age (Mother is a CPA and Loan officer)
and I have a good job. No Rich Daddy here. Just a young 20yr old with a good mentor and boss who makes more money than you apparently.
