Default Pullied Cobra at The Track

Went to NMRA last weekend and entered true street. I am only posting here instead of the 11 second timeslip thread because that seems to be only ls guys . And also this is the car that beat the BTR stage 4 Cam on here about a month ago that caused a 40 page butthurt thread lol.

2003 Cobra
2.81 Pulley
BBK O/R X pipe
SLP LM2 Catback
Steeda Intake
Blankenship Tuned
MT ET Street 2's 315/35/17 Stock rims
Stock IRS
Full Weight (spare tire, jack etc) Weighed myself and race weight was 3795 lmao

Best time was 11.769 @ 113.49 Car # 573.

I had slow trap speed because of insane amount of clutch slip. The clutch is on its way out for sure. Noticed it the time before i took it to a local 1/8th mile track but still decided to take it to NMRA and run it. I know shes got lower in her but i need the clutch fixed first. Slipped all the way through the 60' and all the way through the 1/4. She's on her last leg haha. Car should be trapping 120-121 ish

This was my slowest pass of the evening:

Excuses and internet claims aside, I'd take a 11.76 @ 113mph over a 12.2 @ 119mph any day of the week. Your times say you spent time on the traction and the drivers mod over ultimate horsepower. That being said, you mph is at least 5mph off IMO so figure that lost horsepower out and you got solid mid 11 second runs awaiting.

Whenever I've had an issue where a clutch started slipping, it was always good in the lower gears and slipped in the higher gears. It would usually start off where it would slip if I gave it gas while cruising in 6th, but I could run it hard through the lower years and it would be fine. As it got worse it would slip in 5th, then 4th, etc. I'm figuring that's why he trapped ok the first half compared to the second half

Yep, 3rd was really bad, I was shifting into 4th right before the end, i knew something was up first run but i couldn't ruin it at NMRA

Not bad for a slipping clutch. I went 11.7 @ 117 in my 2004 Cobra, with a 2.90 upper and a tune. Stock exhaust, stock paper air filter, these cars are still impressive!
