Worlds MOST POWERFUL ZR1 Corvette Makes 1300whp

KP Racing builds some of the most insane LS-powered cars in the country and they took what is claimed to be the world's most powerful C6 ZR1 to the recent Texas Invitational and let it fly! The Corvette in question is said to make (wait for it) 1075hp at the wheels on the blower alone and with a little nitrous it bumps that number to 1385hp at the tires!
With very little space under the slender hood, it's hard to stuff a massive blower atop the almighty LS9 motor in a C6 ZR1, so KP Racing got creative! It all starts with an RHS block that's been poked to just 388 cubic inches, filled with forged internals while still utilizing the stock LS9 crank (crazy, huh?) and then its topped with MAST heads and a heavily massaged blower that benefits from a larger water box and a massive 108mm throttle body–the combo is said to peak at 21psi and hold 17psi of boost. Of course, with all that air, you need plenty of fuel, in this case E85 on the street and C16 at the track. All of this is controlled by an AEM Infinity standalone computer that also utilizes a traction-control system that is insanely effective, especially with the massive Mickey Thompson drag radials!
Here are some other cool facts; KP Racing claims it was making 1100hp on the stock motor before they forged it because of a desire for more nitrous. The car still utilizes the STOCK blower, transmission, and rearend...and all dyno numbers were made on a Mustang Dyno, which in most instances, is more conservative than the typical DynoJet.
