DVD movies to Memory stick
I wanted to ask if anyone is familar with transfering DVD files to memory stick? I've got a 1GB Sony Pro Memory Stick, the large stick of gum size. I'm already familar with the Pro Duo transfer with DVD's for my PSP, but I'm trying to use my Sony Clie, do you know of a Program I can use for that? Sony Support.com database doesn't have a reference, and I don't think it's illegal as I'm using this for my own private use. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Use the software from http://www.dvddecrypter.com/ to extract the DVD content to your hard drive, and to encode it in an MPEG avi file, then use a program such as AutoGK - http://www.doom9.org/autogk.htm . (Not really applicable in this case, but the software from http://www.dvdshrink.org/ can also be used to select which parts you want to keep and raise the compression ratio, if the content is going to be burned back to a disc.)

After reading the instructions, I don't think I can run it without the AutoGK Assistant, the link is dead, and a Google hasn't turned up any other DL sites. Know if it's safe to use without AutoGK Assistant? I'm gonna try this and hopefully I'll be able to watch it on my CLIE tomorrow...

AutoGK assistant lets you set other options you can't otherwise, so probably do need it.
Try downloading from here: http://www.free-codecs.com/AutoGK_download.htm
